"Ladies and gentlemen, the story you're about to hear is true. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent."

Voice-over read by George Fenneman (from Groucho Marx's You Bet Your Life fame) from 1952 to 1959 (and on radio 1949-1957).  Read by Hal Gibney from 1967 to 1970

The instrumental theme charted twice in 1953 - at #7 and #9. The first version was by the Ray Anthony Orchestra. Ray Anthony was a bandleader who led the U.S. Army Band during WWII. He formed his own band in 1946 and had a TV series in the 1950s. The second version was by the Ted Heath Orchestra.
