The Milton Berle Show (Texaco Star Theater)

We Are The Men of Texaco by Bernard Arnold, & Heywood Kling.

Original Air Dates: 1948 - 1956 (NBC)

The Texaco Star Theater starring Milton Berle began with a rousing chorus of this Texaco anthem delivered by a quartet of performers dressed as Texaco gas station attendants, then out would come Berle dressed in some wacky costume.

Oh we're the men of Texaco,

We work from Maine to Mexico.

There's nothing like this Texaco of ours.

Our show tonight is powerful;

We'll wow you with an hour-full of howls

From a shower full of stars.

We're the Merry Texaco Men.

Tonight we may be showmen.

Tomorrow we'll be servicing your cars!

Milton Berle also starred in two other shows which were less than successful:  The Buick-Berle Show 1958 - 1959 (NBC), Milton Berle Starring in the Kraft Music Hall 1966 - 1967 (ABC)
