Somewhere In The Night - Music by Billy May with lyrics added by Milt Raskin

Original Air Dates: 1958 - 1963 (ABC)   Location: New York City, New York

The show's signature was its narration, which introduced each episode with the assurance that the series was not filmed in a studio, but "in the streets and buildings of New York itself," and returned thirty minutes later to intone the series' famous tag-line: "There are eight million stories in the Naked City. This has been one of them."

Thanks goes out to Delphine C. for help with the lyrics to the show.

Naked City (lyrics unknown) years 1958-1960

Somewhere In The Night years 1960-1963

Somewhere in the night chasing shadows around the bend.
Somewhere in the night chasing rainbows that have no end.
In the misty light you are mine and you hold me fast,
But dreams have a way of calling it a day
They seldom last my dreams have past.
But in my lonely flight I'll keeping searching till time is through.
For somewhere in the night till I find you.
