Hello all - looks like I got some good help on this one. Lemon began the quest, telling me about the show and much of the lyrics. Mark helped clarify it and let me get hold of the complete lyrics. As Mark wrote: "the show was a mixture of live-action and animation. A live-action futuristic car drives up to a movie theatre. The driver (a little boy as I recall) takes off his helmet and presses a button. This opens the car's door and allows animated versions of the Pink Panther and a Clouseau-like inspector to get out and walk into the theatre to watch the show. The closing sequence had the Inspector getting into the car, the boy-driver putting on his helmet and driving off, leaving the Panther behind to chase after him."
