STAR TREK (Original series)

LYRICS NEVER AIRED

Beyond the rim of the starlight,
My love is wandering in star flight.
I know he’ll find in star clustered reaches
Love, strange love a starwoman teaches.

I know his journey ends never.
His Star Trek will go on forever.
But tell him while he wanders his starry sea,
Remember, Remember me.

These lyrics were reportedly written by series creator Gene Roddenberry as an add-on to the music. While they were never used on air, Roddenberry received co-authorship over the theme, which did not please Courage, who said that the words were not suited to his music.
