THEME
Goin' down that long lonesome highway
Bound for the mountains and the plains.
Sure ain't nothin' here to tie me,
and I got some friends I'd like to see again.
One of these days I'm gonna settle down,
but 'til I do, I won't be hangin' 'round.
Goin' down that long lonesome highway.
Gonna live life my way.
(Instrumental)
One of these days
I'm gonna settle down
But 'til I do
I won't be
Hangin' 'round.
Goin' down that long lonesome highway.
Gonna live life my way."
There are other versions of the song sung by Michael Parks, different ones from the end of the show, and one that was performed within the episode
The Spitball Kid, and a fourth one from Parks' album.
MOUNTAIN HIGH
Mountain high, Valley low. Summer green, winter snow.
How my love for you keeps on growing wide
Stronger by minute and deeper inside
I'd do anything for you. All I ask is you love me true.
Love is high, sometimes it's low
It's a summer breeze, or the cold winds blow
It seems all of us have our ups and downs
It's a bright shade of blue or a dark shade of brown
Bu I'd still rather be with you
Just wanna be with you. And all I ask is you love me true
I couldn't get you out of my mind - even if I tried
All I really want to do is love you all the time
Love is up, sometimes it's down
But there's a smile where there once was a frown
There's one thing sure, love can always change
You're walking in the sunshine or out in that rain
But I'd still rather be with you. Just wanna be with you
And all I ask is you love me true. Just wanna be with you
And all I ask. Is you love me. True.

EPISODE
BEGINNING
The show started with Michael Parks' character stopped at a red light on his motorcycle, and the man in a station wagon stopped next to him.
MAN: "Taking a trip?"
BRONSON: "What's that?"
MAN: "Taking a trip?"
BRONSON: "Yeah."
MAN: "Where to?"
BRONSON: "Oh, I don't know. Wherever I end up, I guess."
MAN: "Pal, I wish I was you."
BRONSON: "Really?"
MAN: "Yeah."
BRONSON: "Well, hang in there."
The man in the station wagon nods his head, the light changes, Bronson rides off, and the theme music starts. As he drives of he's in actually driving down the California Coast. The bridge he crosses is the Bixby Creek Bridge which is located just north of Big
Sur.
It's
Not Unusual reached number 20 in the Billboard
Top 40 Charts in 1970. I know what you're thinking - "I don't remember that TV Show!" I certainly don't, and I don't even remember the theme song even though it went to #20. If it helps, Parks starred in the show and also starred in the 1963 TV show
Channing (yeah, I don't remember that one either).
