FLORIDA 1732 |

This map shows Florida as it looked around 1732. It is part of the map below it that shows the southern British Colonies of South Carolina and Georgia and the territory of Florida which was under the control of the Spanish Empire. The major features of Florida are coning into focus at this point with the St. Johns (San Juan) River being a prominent example. St. Augustine (S. Augustin) is the only town noted, but since this is a British map, it was probably listed because of the Spanish fort guarding the inlet there.
