Orange County 1863

This map shows Orange County as it looked during the Civil War, or at least how the Union thought it looked. It doesn't show a county seat for Orange County (as it does the town of Enterprise in Volusia County). It shows that the map maker was unaware of the existence of Orlando, yet it still lists Jernigan and Ft. Christmas (Ft. Christmas was built in December of 1837 and abandoned in March of 1838).
