Orange County 1932 |

This map shows fairly modern Orange and Seminole Counties. Orlando is represented as the metropolitan city in the area with all other town clearly being much smaller in population. Of interest is the community in South-west Orange County named Vineland. Vineland no longer exists by that name as much of the area was purchased by the Walt Disney Company in the 1960s and was developed into Walt Disney World. Today, the area where Vineland one was is the incorporated city of Lake Buena Vista, which is primarily hotels and resorts on and adjacent to Disney property. The name Vineland still exists, however in the name of the main route that went north out of the community: Apopka-Vineland Road.
